Rachel Kershaw

Rachel is an experienced Clinical Psychologist and completed her Master of Clinical Psychology at Griffith University in 2017. During her university studies, she conducted and published research in relation to childhood anxiety disorders. She has developed a genuine interest and passion for working with children, individuals, and families presenting with a range of complex presentations (developmental disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, autism, ADHD). Rachel has experience in working in a range of settings such as hospital outpatient, community and correctional, education and private practice settings, as well as co-facilitation within group therapy formats, for example, Circle of Security Parenting Program, Secret Agent Society, and Take Action Child Anxiety.

Rachel has an interest in working with children, adolescents, and young adults who have experienced trauma, as well as working with neurodivergent populations adopting a neuro-affirmative approach. She is trained in the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS), which is the gold standard in the assessment of autism, and she conducts diagnostic assessments for autism across the lifespan. Rachel enjoys adopting a range of child-centred play therapy techniques to enhance client outcomes.

Rachel believes in fostering a genuine connection with her clients and understands the importance of developing a trusting therapeutic relationship, being key to the client’s experience and positive outcomes. Rachel works from a strengths-based and collaborative approach to support the development of an individualised treatment plan. She draws on several evidence-based treatment approaches such as CBT, CBT-TF, DBT, ACT, Positive Psychology, and social skills training.

Rachel is a board-approved clinical supervisor who supervises provisional psychologists and clinical psychology registrars.

Helen has over 30 years of experience in the areas of health and psychology, both in Australia and the United Kingdom. She is a trained clinical psychologist and was the founding director of Kidzontrack over 20 years ago. Helen’s passion was to ensure children and families of the Redlands and surrounding Brisbane areas were able to access affordable evidence-based therapeutic support. Helen gained a master’s degree in Non-Directive Play Therapy in 2002, and it was this valuable knowledge of working therapeutically with children and families that was successfully integrated into her psychology practice. As part of her University Psychology studies, she was instrumental in developing a new treatment combining play therapy with cognitive behaviour therapy in treating young children with specific phobias. This pilot study attracted a 5-year NHMRC grant to take to clinical trial and is now an evidence-based treatment approach.

Helen has provided play therapy supervision to both trainee and experienced play therapists for over 15 years. Helen continues to supervise clinicians both within and external to the practice to ensure play therapy interventions are delivered to a high professional standard.

Helen’s aim is to empower children and families to reach their full potential and find purpose and meaning in their lives. She is a strengths-based practitioner working within a person-centred framework to help all individuals she works with achieve their therapeutic goals. In addition, Helen is trained to deliver cognitive behaviour therapy, acceptance, and commitment therapy and schema therapy across the lifespan. She has a special interest in assisting adults with complex presentations and those facing major life transitions, Helen welcomes referrals.

Carly Roberts

Clinical Psychologist

Carly is a Clinical Psychologist with a PhD in Clinical Psychology. During her studies, she completed and published research in the areas of body dysmorphic disorder and anxiety disorders. Carly has worked across government, university, and private settings. Between 2016 and 2018, she gained experience in delivering intensive Cognitive Behaviour Therapy to treat OCD and anxiety in her position as a therapist at Griffith University. Carly has worked in private practice since 2017, delivering evidence-based interventions to clients across their lifespans, with a special focus on adolescents and young adults.

Carly brings an empathic, warm, and non-judgmental approach to her practice, with a focus on building a safe, therapeutic relationship for individuals to explore the challenges they are experiencing. She works from a client-centred approach, drawing on evidence-based practice to support individuals in achieving their therapeutic goals. Carly is an ANZAED Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician who has a special interest in the treatment of eating disorders and body image concerns. Carly is trained and experienced in the delivery of evidence-based eating disorder treatments such as CBT-E, CBT–AR, Maudsley Family Therapy, and Adolescent-Focused Therapy.

Rebecca Cox

Rebecca is an AHPRA registered psychologist with a Master of Clinical Psychology. Rebecca has experience working in a range of settings (i.e. community mental health, hospital outpatient, private practice) and with a range of client presentations across the developmental lifespan.

Rebecca offers comprehensive psychological services to children, adolescents, and adults. She is passionate about providing care to those with complex needs. Rebecca has an interest in working with clients who have experienced trauma, parental support, pre- and post-natal support, and working with neurodivergent populations.

Rebecca believes that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of personal change. In her practice, she strives to create a non-judgemental, empathic environment, in which clients feel validated and supported to meet their therapeutic goals and personal needs. She draws from a range of evidence-based modalities (including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) as well as utilising play as a medium when working with young children to promote positive outcomes.

She has a friendly, warm approach and is passionate about providing high-quality administrative support to each client.
