Our Fees

A long-standing goal of our practice has been to ensure clients of the Redlands and surrounding Brisbane areas are able to access affordable evidence-based therapeutic support

The Australian Psychological Society (APS, 2023-2024) recommends $311 per 50-minute psychological treatment session; however, our fees are substantially lower than this recommendation.

Whilst we are not a bulk billing service, if you experience financial hardship, please discuss this with your treating psychologist.

Referral Types

You may be able to claim a rebate for the cost of your session; below are some options that may be applicable;

The Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative

A GP, Psychiatrist, or Paediatrician can provide a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). This allows a client to access 10 psychological sessions in a calendar year via the Better Access Scheme. Usually, the referring doctor will require the client to attend a review meeting after accessing 5/6 sessions of this plan, at this time your treating psychologist will write to the referring doctor to provide a brief update and outline future treatment recommendations for you to be able to obtain additional sessions. Please ensure your MHCP is addressed to the clinic where you have appointments booked. (We do our best to work with you and keep track of your sessions throughout the year)

 *When participating in group programs, you may also be eligible for a Medicare rebate of up to 10 sessions per year.

Eating Disorder Care Plan (EDP)

A GP, Psychiatrist, or Paediatrician can provide an Eating Disorder Care Plan (EDP). This allows a client to access 40 psychological sessions in a calendar year. Usually, the referring doctor will require the client to attend for a review meeting after accessing 10 sessions of this plan. This referral is offered to clients who have an eating disorder, meet specific criteria, and wish to engage in treatment to directly target the eating disorder.

Chronic Disease Management (CDM)

A GP, Psychiatrist, or Paediatrician can provide a Chronic Disease Management referral for people who experience a chronic medical condition or complex medical care needs for a minimum of 6 months. This allows a client to access 5 sessions with an allied health professional.

A psychiatrist, or Pediatrician can provide a referral for helping children with Autism, assessment of patients under 25 years of age. This funding is for assessment only and can be for up to 8 assessment sessions (in a lifetime) across a range of allied health professionals including psychology.

Once a diagnosis of a Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorder has been made, and the consultant pediatrician or consultant psychiatrist has a treatment and management plan in place, they can refer to eligible allied health treatment practitioners (e.g., Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Audiologist, Optometrist, Orthoptist, Physiotherapist) for a total of 20 allied health treatment services (per lifetime)

Private Health Insurance

Please consult with your private health fund to determine whether you will be able to claim a rebate on psychology sessions. Please note you cannot use this in addition to Medicare rebates.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

We are able to support self-managed or plan-managed participants, however we are NOT a registered NDIA provider. Self-managed clients must pay on the day      and can claim back the cost of their sessions with NDIS, for plan managed clients we will invoice your plan manager for payment.

We ask that NDIS participants provide a copy of their NDIS plan (we only require the NDIS number, plan dates, goals) and if plan managed the details of the plan manager prior to the initial consultation.
